Have you heard about the first real life hoverboard? A company called Hendo made one by "Using high powered magnets to lift heavy objects off of metal surfaces". At the current time you cannot yet control where it goes. However they have promised to change that in future versions. They are already working on making on where you can control and it is the size of a Roomba. Their goal was to improve buildings and make them safe when earthquakes occurred because it would not never be touching the ground.
They are planning on making the future a reality. They are planning on trying to make cars that hover and go the speed of high speed trains. The board doesn't hover very high off the ground and is very loud. But everything has a start. Phones started off as gigantic bricks with an antenna you could climb, now they are still big but on purpose, they have a screen you can touch, and can even take perfect HD pictures. Though they only hover over metal surface and only a few inches off the ground and can't be controlled and is pretty much just a big magnet this is the first hoverboar ever.
